Baptism
Baptism is the joyful, public response of faith to God’s prior act of grace in Jesus Christ. It is an embodied “Yes” to the “Yes” God has spoken over humanity in the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ.

Baptism also marks our entry into the community of the church. It is both a personal moment and a shared celebration in which the gathered community affirms, encourages, and walks alongside the one being baptized. Together, we bear witness to God’s grace and call one another to lives of discipleship.
In all of this, baptism points beyond itself to the faithfulness of God, the source and sustainer of our salvation.
