Leadership
Leadership at East County is shared among three groups: the Ministry Stewardship Group, Shepherds, and Ministry Staff.
Our Ministry Stewardship Group attends to the practical needs and day-to-day ministries of the congregation. Our Shepherds provide spiritual vision and pastoral care. Our Ministry Staff focuses on spiritual formation, teaching and preaching, worship, pastoral support, and ministry vision, working closely with both the Shepherds and Ministry Stewardship Group.
Members of the Ministry Stewardship Group and Shepherds serve three-year terms, with the possibility of continuing when both they and the congregation agree. We discern our leaders through congregational consensus.
Women and men serve equally in every aspect of congregational life, including all leadership roles.
