Poetry Group

Poetry invites us to pay attention—to words, to beauty, to the world around us, and to the lives we share. Our Poetry Group gathers around a love of reading, writing, and discovering what poetry can reveal.

Meeting about once a month, we begin by reading and reflecting on a published poem. We then offer a writing prompt, often inspired by our current Scripture readings or themes from our life together. We spend time writing, and anyone who wishes is invited to share what they have written.

Over time, this gathering has become more than a poetry group. It is a place of friendship, encouragement, and sometimes healing, where people can explore the intersections of poetry, beauty, faith, and everyday life. No experience writing poetry is necessary, and no one is required to share their work.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are part of our Sunday gatherings or simply looking for a community of people who love words.
